All aspects of our dental treatment offer a cosmetic and functional component. Thanks to advances in modern dentistry, teeth can be restored with tooth colored resins and ceramics. These quality restorations are strong, durable, metal free and are bonded to tooth structure. Our team of dental professionals, here at Oaks Family Dental feel they represent an excellent investment in your long-term dental health.
As well, our team offers composite fillings that match the shade of your tooth and are now a great alternative to silver-mercury amalgam. Porcelain and composites offer strength, durability and give you a beautiful white smile!
DENTURES
Dentures are probably the most common way world wide to replace missing teeth especially when a patient is missing many teeth. They are an affordable removable prosthetic that can be worn relatively easily by the patient. In addition, dentures are the most affordable, especially when compared with other alternatives such as dental fixed bridgework or implant-supported restorations. Please feel free to speak to one of the Oak Family Dental team members today for more details, and get ready to smile!
SEALANTS
The U.S.A. National Institute of Dental Research indicates that 95% of all cavities in children aged 5 - 17 are pit and fissure caries. These deep grooves and pits appear on the biting surfaces of molars and pre-molars. Sealant costs are very low, while the benefits are enormous. As parents, it is up to us to opt for non-destructive, painless and preventive procedures for our children (and ourselves), rather than undergoing anesthetic injections and the use of complex instruments and filling procedures which are more costly in the long run.
This decay can be effectively prevented through the use of pit and fissure sealants. Sealants are applied as a liquid which fills in the grooves naturally appearing on these teeth. The liquid quickly hardens, forming a barrier which prevents food particles and bacteria from getting trapped in these crevices and causing decay. The cost of sealants? Low. The benefits? Enormous. If you're interested, speak to one of the Oaks Family Dental team members about sealants today.
CHILDREN'S DENTISTRY
We invite you to take an introductory tour of our facility. On this day, touring junior visitors and their parents meet Dr. Brennan, a general practitioner with 19 years experience working with children. Dr. Brennan's warm personality and reassuring approach makes every visit relaxing, comfortable and fun. Introducing children to the world of dentistry in an enjoyable environment enhances a positive attitude towards oral health and creates an eager office and home care participant!
ROOT CANALS
Root canal treatment is a common prescription for abscessed teeth. Abscessed teeth have infected tissue (pulp) in the center. This causes pain and/or swelling. During root canal treatment, the tooth is opened and infected tissue removed. The space is then filled and the opening sealed. A crown may be placed to protect the tooth. The treatment is usually painless. A tooth that has had a root canal treatment can last a lifetime! Speak to one of the Oaks Family Dental team members today, as we will be happy to discuss root canal therapy with you.
We would like to let you know about something exciting in our office! Advances in dental technology have afforded the Oaks Family Dental team the opportunity to bring you cutting edge dentistry in the form of digital radiography. Digital radiography is the ability to take x-rays with minimal exposure time allowing them to be scanned into the computer. The images of your teeth, supporting bone and gums are large and crisp and are stored in your file for future reference. Digital radiography is Faster, Safer and environmentally friendly. Ask one of the Oaks Family Dental team members how this new technology allows us to bring patient care to the next level.
ONE-VISIT RESTORATIONS
Oaks Family Dental offers the highest tech restoration available today, known as the CEREC. It is a unique and sophisticated computerized program that electronically images the tooth needed to be restored. No old fashion putty material for the impression.

Please talk to a team member at Oaks Family Dental to show you this new technology.
IMPLANTS
Dental implants are designed to provide a secure foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. If you are among the many Americans who suffer from permanent tooth loss, you can eliminate the problems and discomfort caused by poorly fitting dentures or missing teeth. You can begin to discover the joy of eating healthy, speaking clearly, feeling confident and laughing comfortably! If you have any questions about dental implants, please speak to one of the Oaks Family Dental team members today!
CROWNS & BRIDGES
What are the benefits of crowns from a cosmetic and health point of view? A crown can be utilized to repair a chipped or fractured tooth! A crown is by far the best way to protect a weak or badly decayed tooth. A crown is also a very good way to cover a single or number of teeth that are stained or have become yellow due to tetracycline, coffee, tea, or other harsh staining properties!
Why is it important to replace a missing tooth? It not only improves the look of your smile, but also contributes to better dental health. Each tooth has its own important role. Some are used for biting or chewing, others give shape to your face. The support that your teeth provide for each other is compromised when one is missing. Before long, evidence of breakdown is noticed in the remaining teeth, the jaw joint and/or the gums. The use of a bridge or 'artificial tooth' can prevent these problems. Talk with any of our Oaks Family Dental team members today for more information on bridges.
MOUTH GUARDS
The Oaks Family Dental Team team would like our patients both old and young to realize the value in wearing a mouth guard. A high percentage of sports injuries occur to the mouth and face. A mouth guard is a thin, plastic appliance that protects teeth during activities such as hockey, hockey, football, soccer, wrestling, basketball, baseball and other activities. It is custom made to fit your mouth so you can speak and breathe easily while you are wearing the appliance. It is easy and economical to have one made and the benefits to your teeth are enormous! If you have any questions about custom mouth guards, speak to one of the Oaks Family Dental team members today!
LASER DENTISTRY
Lasers are used from treating decayed teeth to complex cases of cosmetic and aesthetic smile designs, to non-surgical treatment of gum disease. Dr. Brennan has incorporated the use of lasers in all phases of dentistry.
INTRA-ORAL CAMERA
What if you could see what we see? Intra-Oral Video and Photography! The more you know about your mouth, the more able you are to make good choices for your dental care. Intra-Oral Video and Photography! At Oaks Family Dental, we utilize technology to assist clients who want to be an active participant in their own dental care. Ask your dental hygienist for a complete tour of your mouth. Then, we'll immediately print a photograph of any area(s) you would like. Intra-Oral Video and Photography! A picture is worth a thousand words. If you have any questions about Intra-oral photography, speak to one of the Oaks Family Dental team members today!
Snoring occurs when the throat structures are abnormally large and/or when during sleep the throat muscles relax enough to cause the airway to collapse and partially obstruct the flow of air. As the lungs try to suck and push air past these obstructions, the structures vibrate as the air rushes past, and the sound we know as snoring occurs. While snoring may be harmless, it can also be a sign of a more serious medical condition, which progresses from upper airway resistance syndrome to obstructive sleep apnea.
The Oaks Family Dental team offers anti-snoring devices or snoring prevention devices to help our patients get a good nights sleep, as well, these snoring devices will help prevent obstructed breathing which can lead to many health issues including possible death. Snoring prevention is extremely important, and even though many people laugh or disregard snoring, it is very important that you utilize an anti-snoring device if you snore. Snoring prevention is not a laughing matter.

Unhappy with the way her teeth had darkened over time, Monique wanted to bring back the whiteness of her smile.
Upper and lower teeth were whitened using a home whitening system. Great results were achieved in just two weeks.
Leslie neglected her teeth when she wore braces, which left here with stained enamel. She wanted to improve her smile without returning to braces.
Direct bonding on six upper teeth in one visit masked the discoloration and reshaped teeth, giving a big boost to Leslie's smile and confidence.
Myrna was missing teeth on the upper left side and had worn, discolored teeth with an old bridge on the upper right side. She wanted a new smile without a partial denture.
Myrna's smile was recreated using implants on the upper left side, new fixed bridges on the upper left and right sides and veneers on her four front teeth.
Brenda did not like the appearance of the crown on her upper right incisor. It looked too opaque and had a dark shadow at the gum line.
Brenda's old crown was removed and replaced with a new, all porcelain crown that allows light to shine through it,
preventing the shadow.

Dr. Brennan and her staff at Oaks Family Dental were everything I have been looking for in a dental office. From the time I walked in and was greeted with a smile and a personalized hello, to my hygienist keeping talking with me and keeping me relaxed during my cleaning, to seeing Dr. Brennan-- they made what used to be a very nerve racking and scary visit into one that was one comfortable for me to go to. The front office area was clean and very calming to me. All of the rooms I either passed or went onto were all bright and airy. I would recommended the Oaks Family Dental practice to anyone looking for a new dentist in our area.

I wanted to share my thoughts regarding Oaks Family Dental. To start, I am in the medical sales space and have spent a good bit of time in doctor's offices through the years. This practice by FAR has the most pleasant staff I have ever encountered, from the receptionists to the dental hygienists...and there are several, as well as the dentist's. Dentist offices generally speaking, are not usually a place that people might have a pleasant experience necessarily, however, Oaks Family Dental is different. It's really nice to be greeted so warmly all the time by everyone, as well as receive high quality dental care. The three P's are basic business acumen tenets - People, Processes & Product. Oaks Family Dental has all three of these in spades. And successful business's always start with the right people. It's really kind of neat to walk in and feel like Norm on Cheer's...it's the way they make you feel. They go out of their way to be very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and often do.

Dr. Brennan has a bright and state of the art office. You are greeted by any open and friendly staff that treat you more like family than patients. From having your teeth cleaned to the most complex procedure Dr. Brennan and the experienced staff always have your comfort as their number one priority. My husband and I have been going for a few years now and always leave the office with a smile.
Donna
I have openly stated that I am fearful of dental treatments and I feel so badly about that with the group of caring and compassionate people at Oaks Family Dental Associates. It's so unfair to them that they have to work through my paranoia. Because of their care and compassionate nature plus the insight to recognize who I am, I feel safe and confident that they recognize my needs and ALWAYS treat me accordingly. I have recommended this practice to many with absolutely no trepidation. Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Brennan for her skills on all levels of dental practice as well as staffing her practice with like minded individuals.
